​Abstraction investigates nothing. Abstraction explores nothing. Abstraction focuses on nothing. Abstraction identifies nothing. Abstraction juxtaposes nothing. Abstraction has nothing to do with race, identity, gender, capitalism, social class or politics. Abstraction has nothing to do with anything.
And in 2024, there is nothing better than that:
to paint for no reason, cause or concern.

*However, I did have an intense vision of hundreds of Chinese soldiers in the woods where I hunt in rural Indiana.
I imagined them invading our home and discovering abstract paintings with Chinese titles. 
I wondered if these works would act as a peace offering. 
Because all humans can relate to ABSTRACTION.
