b. 1987 Indiana, USA.
B.A. Economics, Indiana University. 2010.
Matthew Joseph Tinkler (b. 1987) lives and works in Indiana. He graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Indiana University in 2010. Early in his career, Tinkler established drawing and painting as his primary mediums of expression. His greatest artistic influence is martial artist Bruce Lee who discouraged his reliance on an exclusive style. Philosophically, Tinkler continues to place freedom of expression above all, often noting that a blank canvas is his only reprieve from the superfluous dictates of society. Over the years, his diverse oeuvre includes drawings, paintings, digital art and essays that are often grouped in collections that focus on issues such as human psychology, nature conservation, sociocultural commentary, originality and the rewilding of our fragile domesticated human species.
